Mackenzie comes from a small mountain town in Colorado where she developed her love for the great outdoors. Her childhood was spent hiking, skiing, and biking the endless trails of her picturesque home. Growing up, she worked in her family’s restaurant, laying the foundation for her passion for hospitality, people and selfless service.
Ever-curious about human behaviour and the importance of communication, Mackenzie pursued a degree in Journalism from University of Colorado. A determined entrepreneur and traveller, her career path took an unexpected turn moving her to Australia, where she combined her communication prowess with creative flair and built a strong portfolio of interior commercial design projects. She was the early design voice and champion for the Aria Property Group, one of Queensland’s largest property developers.
Mackenzie now heads The Forrester Foundation, a family foundation committed to the three pillars of sustainability, community works and digital health. She is the co-Founder and Executive Director of Screen Sanity Australia, the first-of-its-kind not-for-profit helping Australian families pursue digital health and wellbeing. She loves yoga, trail running and enjoying wholesome food and drinks with family and friends. Her 4 children, ages 3, 6, 8 and 10, fuel her passion for creating a world where people are captivated by life, not screens.
Screen Sanity Australia is proud to announce a new partnership with the Archewell Foundation, a nonprofit created by Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
