Director
Mackenzie comes from a small mountain town in Colorado where she developed her love for the great outdoors. Her childhood was spent hiking, skiing, and biking the endless trails of her picturesque home. Growing up, she worked in her family’s restaurant, laying the foundation for her passion for hospitality, people and selfless service.
Ever-curious about human behaviour and the importance of communication, Mackenzie pursued a degree in Journalism from University of Colorado. A determined entrepreneur and traveller, her career path took an unexpected turn moving her to Australia, where she combined her communication prowess with creative flair and built a strong portfolio of interior commercial design projects. She was the early design voice and champion for the Aria Property Group, one of Queensland’s largest property developers.
Mackenzie now heads The Forrester Foundation, a family foundation committed to the three pillars of sustainability, community works and digital health. She is the co-Founder and Executive Director of Screen Sanity Australia, the first of its kind not-for-profit helping Australian families pursue digital health and wellbeing. She loves yoga, trail running and enjoying wholesome food and drinks with family and friends. Her 4 children, ages 3, 6, 8 and 10, fuel her passion for creating a world where people are captivated by life, not screens.

Director
Born in Singapore with a whirlwind upbringing in the USA, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan, Fiona has a strong understanding of cross-cultural nuances and a passion for global business. After pursuing a degree at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, Fiona moved to Hong Kong to set up one of China’s first social enterprise non-profits, Venture in Development, empowering and equipping rural entrepreneurs with the tools, capital and skillsets to run their own sustainable businesses.
Fiona has worn many hats – Managing Director, VP of Sales and Marketing, Project Manager, Founder. What ties it all together is her straightforward, ambitious and human-centric approach to business growth and leadership. It’s what’s seen her rise through the corporate ranks and have a huge impact in companies like Mattel, Quintessentially, and Hong Kong’s first unicorn technology start up, Tink Labs.
The advent of children and having a young family changed it all, and Fiona stepped away from her travel-heavy career to pursue consulting projects aligned to her value set. After moving to Brisbane in 2019, a fateful conversation with a like-minded Mother in the school parking lot one morning (yes, it was Mackenzie!) allowed her to use her diverse skills to help bring Screen Sanity Australia to life. An ex-professional Women’s rugby player, Fiona is excited to once again be tackling difficult things head on – to openly facilitate the discussions around digital health and well-being to build a grass roots movement where families feel confident, capable and excited to help their children live a life captivated by authentic human connection.

Angela Maurstad
Project Manager
Angela spent the bulk of her professional career in marketing and sales for Coca-Cola Enterprises and Union Pacific Railroad. She then ventured into being a full-time stay-at-home mom and co-taught her children as part of a collaborative education model. As a midwestern girl who grew up with cornfields, horses, and making mud pies as her childhood entertainment she seeks to find balance for her family when it comes to screen behavior – specifically how to be active creators versus passive consumers. Angela is passionate about spreading the mission of START so children (and parents!) around the globe will Look Up and engage with the life and people around them. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and lives with her husband Derek and two children in the Omaha area.
